Finding a business venture that brings ‘something different every day’ is a goal that alludes many people. But brother and sister Dez Ward and Emma Lea found MOLLY MAID gave them exactly that.
The pair’s parents – Derek and Elaine Ward – ran the York franchise from 2002 and the siblings joined them in 2004 and 2007, respectively, before taking full control in September 2010.
The successful duo has maintained the family firm’s strong work ethic to constantly deliver the personal touch to customers.
One customer, Mrs Spence from York, said: “I’ve had MOLLY MAID for about three years now, and every single clean has always been thorough and consistent.
“They make the house look like new, the attention to detail is evident in every room. I would recommend them without any hesitation.”
That personal touch also helps a customer who lives alone – after her son moved abroad for work – and has health concerns that mean she would struggle to cope on her own. But, thanks to fortnightly visits from Dez and Emma’s MOLLY MAIDs, the jobs she is no longer able to do are taken care of and those worries are eased.
Dez and Emma explained: “This lady’s son has the security of knowing his mum’s home is cared for and we will always communicate with him if we have any concerns about her wellbeing.
“This enables this lady to stay in her own home and the son pays us directly via BACS transfer so neither of them need to be concerned about providing payment every visit.”
After a secret weapon to help your cleaning tasks have the same success?
Dez and Emma recommend a touch of baby oil on stainless steel splash-backs or cooker hoods for a high quality smear-free shine.
