Molly Maid Franchisees Help to Launch The First U12 Girls Rugby Team at Liverpool Collegiate

Coming from South Africa and watching the South African men’s team win multiple World Cups, new Molly Maid Liverpool Franchisees Eric and Mandy Moss can be forgiven if they aren’t supporting England in France at this year’s event.  But when the duo launched their Franchise in January of this year, finding an outlet for their love of rugby was high on their agenda.  And with the help of Molly Maid, the UK’s most well-known name in the domestic cleaning industry, it didn’t take long to find a worthy club to support.

“With three active kids and my job for the past few years, sport has been a big part of our lives”, notes Eric, who was a sports director for a school in South Korea before returning to the UK to be nearer to family in 2022.

After launching their business Eric and Mandy started looking for a local club they could sponsor and happened upon Liverpool Collegiate.  The local club was looking to launch a new U12 girls team and Eric and Mandy knew they had found a club that might even replace their beloved South African team.  “Getting more girls involved in rugby really excites us”, says Mandy.  “I love being a part of this new team and supporting the initiative by Liverpool Collegiate, and can’t wait to watch them in their new Molly Maid kit.”

The sponsorship is part of the Molly Maid Community Heroes programme that sees Franchisees like Eric and Mandy support the communities where they provide their cleaning services.  The company helps to not only provide well-paying jobs in the domestic cleaning industry, often to mums and single women, but also financial contributions to local sports teams and charities.  Marketing Manager for Molly Maid Kanika Srivastava, a passionate cricketer herself, says that this year the company is aiming to contribute over £20,000 to local communities through its Franchisees.  “Now more than ever communities need our support and our Franchisees and their teams truly are heroes for what they are doing.”
